Molecular testing is the most rapidly expanding area of oncologic pathology. Immense technological advancement is rapidly making these tests standard diagnostic tools. While some of the technology is proven and some is unproven, all of it is being heavily promoted by commercial interests. As the supervisor of PCL’s Molecular Pathology and Immunohistochemistry Departments Dr. Clark ensures that we employ the proper balance between in-house testing and prompt outside reference laboratory consults. This balance allows us to provide clinicians with the full array of advanced testing and give their patients maximum diagnostic and therapeutic value.
